Mirror Cover Removal

hi could anyone tell me how to get the mirror covers off without breaking them, do thay just prize off or is there a good place to start and work round, i want to colour code them ive seen you can buy new ones, would it be best if i just bought 2 have them painted and then put them on that way if thay do break when taking them off im ok anyway any advice would be great many thanks.

Ok..the mirror covers..i have taken them off.

 

If you look at the end which is nearest the car, there is a clip which you have to press to release the cover.To do this you have to push the mirror in towards the car.then all around inside there are clips which you gently pull the cover off..be warned though as there is one big one in the middle which you cant see.they are sturdy and you just have to work your way round.takes a few mins .

Post 36 may help.I never took any screws off mine though..is all just clipped on.

Ours just clip off. I found with a good whack they come straight off (and no, I`m not very mechanically minded) :rolleyes:

thanks people will have a go just found out colour of my gal only had it about 8 mths now, its flury red or something more purple if you ask me, just have to be carefull im 6ft 2" and 18 stone and im a bit heavy handed should be fun nothing to lose and lots to gain im a bit of a dab hand with areosol can many thanks

sorry mum of 4 yes fleurie red how thay can call it a red i dont know, didnt like the colour at first but its grown on me changes colour looks different in the sun, we bought it because price was good and only had one owner has some battle scars and niggley things wrong but getting there with it.
